The Benefits of Toastmasters

Today you may be more comfortable communicating by e-mail or telephone than communicating face-to-face. Speaking to large or small groups, or even one-to-one, may intimidate or frighten you. In Toastmasters you will learn how to successfully formulate, express and sell your ideas and yourself and get rid of that nervousness you may feel when called upon to speak. You will improve your ability to listen to and evaluate other people's ideas, and learn leadership skills along the way.

By joining Rancho Speech Masters, you will embark on a journey that will greatly improve your life.

During club meetings our members build "quick thinking" skills by giving 1-2 minute speeches on general topics during Table Topics. During our meetings, everyone has a chance to introduce speakers, conduct meetings and perform other roles that will give plenty of practice in a variety of communications experiences, but the greatest learning comes from preparing and presenting speeches.
